Pop star Irene Cara dies at 63

Irene Cara, best known for the theme songs for "Fame" and "Flashdance" in the early '80s, has died

Judith Moose said in a tweet the singer's death, "Please share your thoughts and memories of Irene

Kara died at her Florida home. According to Moose the cause of death is unknown

Cara made her youth acting debut in a TV show "Electric Company"

She found her breakthrough as Coco Hernandez in the 1980 musical "Fame"

The song "Out Here on My Own" and was nominated for a Golden Globe and two Grammys that same year

she received an Oscar for Best Original Song and a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female

She has done many movies as "City Heat" with Burt Reynolds and Mr. T with Tatum O'Neal
