How to play the Mega Millions
When you buy a Mega Millions ticket, you get to pick six numbers. The initial five come from a range of 1 to 70 for the white balls, while the final number is chosen from 1 to 25 for the special golden Mega Ball. If choosing your own numbers feels a bit overwhelming, you can go for the Easy Pick or Quick Pick option. This lets the system randomly generate the numbers for your ticket.
In specific states, you have the option to include a Megaplier for an extra dollar when playing. Opting for this can potentially multiply your non-jackpot winnings by two, three, four, or even five times.
