Even though mobile banking is now very popular, many people still prefer to handle their financial affairs in person at a physical bank.
However, given that many banks have varying opening hours over the holiday season, that can be challenging this time of year.
Avoid going to the bank on Christmas.
You won’t be able to visit the bank on Christmas Day because it is one of the 11 bank holidays observed by the Federal Reserve in the United States of America.
In the US, it will be extremely difficult to locate an open bank on Christmas Day; however, this is where internet banking comes into play. There are a plethora of services that can be provided online instead of in person.
Most banks allow you to use an ATM or internet banking if you need to make any transactions on Christmas Eve or Day. But keep in mind that the Federal Reserve will be closed on Christmas Day, so online bank transactions won’t be completed until the next business day.
Since many people will be taking advantage of the sales in the stores, banks are open on this day and it is not a bank holiday.
